Beschreibung
This thesis investigates the recovery of directional scattering properties from Ultrasound Computed Tomography (USCT) data. While conventional reflection imaging captures only the accumulated magnitude of reflected signals and discards directional information, this work focuses on reconstructing so-called scatter maps that characterize the angular dependence of reflections. The previously developed method should be applied to experimental USCT data, and the resulting scatter maps should be analyzed for their potential to improve tissue and material differentiation. Additionally, the study explores optimization strategies, particularly the trade-off between data accumulation and angular resolution.Voraussetzung
